The Application Process

Prequalification Interview:

Contact TIC Manager for initial interview to verify business concept qualifies for business incubation at TIC

Download/Complete Entry Application:

Download application (PDF) from TIC website

Complete 3-5 page concept summary of the enterprise (mini-business plan) to accompany Application:

Should include:

  • Name of business entity
  • Overview of Products/Services to be offered
  • Initial Markets to serve
  • Estimated 1st year budget
  • List of all members of management team (with resumes)
  • List of what business owner is looking for regarding support from incubator

Mail TO:

Deliver to the following address together with non-refundable application fee of $25 (check):

Manager will review all materials and ensure that center has capabilities to meet business needs

Manager will provide a written decision within 7 days to prospective client and begin executing a lease based on the expected occupancy stated on the application

Manager will submit a copy of lease along with entry checklist for client

Prospective client should return signed lease and completed entry checklist NLT 1 week prior to the entry date

  • Entry dates prior to 15th of month will be billed for whole month
  • Entry dates after on 15th or thereafter will be billed on per-diem basis until the full year lease begins

Hispanic Festival in Hagerstown
The Fourth Hagerstown Hispanic Festival will be held in Fairgrounds Park on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm

We're now located on the 3rd floor in TIC 321.

Small Business Development Center moved
The SBDC has moved from TIC 209 to TIC 322.

Business-2-Government Contracting Workshops

The Western Maryland Small Business Development Center and the TIC have partnered to make available to the community two B2G contracting workshops presented by Maryland PTAP.

MIT Enterprise Forum Webcast
The TIC is a viewing site for the MIT Enterprise Forum webcast "From Lab to Market: Success is Not Final, Failure is Not Fatal."


The Innovator and Entrepreneur Group
meetings will not be held during the summer. They will resume in the fall.
