Washington County's Business Technical Innovation Center
MISSION

TIC FacilityThe Technical Innovation Center (TIC) at Hagerstown Community College is a self sustaining economic development effort that fosters the growth of new and expanding businesses by providing access to advanced technologies, business development resources, and collaborative opportunities. An integral part of our mission is creating and retaining high-quality employment opportunities for our students and the quad-state community.

The TIC was constructed in 1994 with assistance from the Economic Development Administration, The Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Washington County Commissioners. The purpose of the facility was, and still is to promote the diversity of the economic base in Hagerstown and Washington County, Maryland. The TIC's focus is to promote the development of technology or manufacturing based businesses. The center does not limit entry only to start-up enterprises. The TIC will work with local economic development groups to provide facilities and support to local companies and new firms that are being recruited to the area.
